The bonus / malus tool allows to make quotes better comparable by translating defined subjective criteria into monetary values. The tool will need to be used by both – internal business partner and buyer – in a team evaluation. The tool must be applied before final negotiations. If properly used the tool not only gives transparency over offer differences but will also serve as a basis for successful final negotiations – either in order to achieve better service levels or to achieve a more competitive pricing.
